Young Makers is a new programme run by CONTACT Darkroom. Across each 10-week term, a facilitator and group of eight young participants work together to explore a central theme, culminating in the creation of a collective body of work. This term, we are exploring the River Dart, the river that runs alongside the darkroom, investigating ways to visualise the landscape and ecology. Using acetate, pinhole photography, found objects, river water, and experimental darkroom methods, participants are creating layered and collarged works, that will be exhibited in July.
